As the century old chimney had shifted over the years, stones had loosened and quite a bit of mortar had cracked and fallen.
This gave Dave an opportunity to learn a new skill. Before the new flooring was laid, he repointed the failing mortar in the lower section of the chimney. Looks great, Dave!
